Pros: Good looking, classic style club.
Cons: Cost.
The Bottom Line: This is a great looking classic style club. If you hate those jumbo heads on drivers like me and don't mind paying $$$ then this club is for you.

| magoo12's Full Review: Titleist Titanium 976R Driver |
It was hard ripping the original Taylor Made Burner Bubble out my hands. I'm not one to change clubs or try new ones on a regular basis. I have been playing the same irons for the past three seasons.
My father-in-law has the 976D, so he let me take a few rips one round. I liked the feel of the club and the reputation of Titleist, but did not like the over-sized pear shape club head on the 976D so I looked into and purchased the 976R. My brother now uses the old Taylor Made and I do not miss it a bit.
I have the Select Stiff shaft and 9 degree head. I didn't care for the half-chord grip and replaced it with the Tour Wrap. With the TM 10.5 degree I tended to pop-up off the tee occasionally. I found the 976R took a few rounds to get used to, but that will be the case with any new club. I'm not gaining distance but I am gaining control (and confidence!). My trajectory is average to low and I have a natural draw with this club. When I hit this puppy on the sweet spot it goes! I average 250-275 off the tee. You don't have to swing hard, let the club do all the work. Also comes with a cool head cover.
