Pros: It wasnt very expensive, and its pretty easy to use.
Cons: messy and can mold if not cleaned thoroughly no real speed difference
My mom called me and told me that she had ordered me a brand new mixer online...I couldnt wait for it to get her, to make my life easier.I have chronic pain in my right wrist, so anything thats resistant, and I bend it a lot makes it ache all the way to my fingertips. I was hoping that this Toastmaster mixer would make things easier...but the thing is a pain to clean. No change in the speed whatsoever....
I discovered that "multiple speed" really meant, "FAST and FASTER" Not so great if you have a cat that freaks out over loud noises...My son hated the loud noise it makes, and stuff gets stuck in the holes where the beaters go. Its hard to mix pizza dough with this mixer; I gave up and had my boyfriend go at it by hand. It's not a total waste of money (it doesnt cost very much) but you dont really get and versatility with it.
I am definitely going to be replacing this product in the near future for a more expensive model.
The button to release the beaters is kinda hard to push, and I imagine that someone who suffered from arthritis would have a time of it.
If you lift the mixer up while you're stirring something a little thin....It WILL splatter stuff all over you and your surrounding kitchen. But on the flip side, it doesn't want to have anything to do with substances that are thicker like bread dough.
