You don’t have to look that hard to find a TomTom 510 for under $400, which is a great price for this GPS unit. Below I outlined my favorite TT 510 features.
● My favorite aspect of TomToms in general is they are all user friendly including the TT 510. Technology is evolving so fast that sometimes products are sold before they have been properly developed so that your average person can use them effectively. The TT 510 takes a sophisticated technology and breaks it down so that even my grandmother can operate it.
● 3D mapping display and an arrow on the main screen advising the direction of your next turn are two notable features.
● Bluetooth capability allows for a “handsfree” option that is safer and more convenient when answering phone calls on the road.
● Finally the recent map updates by TeleAtlas (the company that supplies mapping information for TomTom) have concentrated on creating the “Most Accurate and Detailed Maps for the US and Canada”. These map updates are available for free to all US customers that purchase a TT 510, TT 910, and TT One. This is important because you want to have the most up to date maps whenever you are traveling.
