abbiemartin's Full Review: TomTom ONE LE Car GPS Receiver
I spent my hard earned cash on this piece of junk. When I bought it, only 1/2 the time it gave me accurate directions. I even knew the directions to get to my destination, but entered the address in the GPS anyway and it STILL gave me wrong directions. It got worse from there. Upon numerous occasions, I would search for a resteraunt or shop and it wouldn't even display. It wasn't even listed. And, this is after I updated it on my computer. I went to Pittsburgh for a reunion, tried to type in the address and it wouldn't even pull up the town (a well-known town). I then just selected "Pittsburgh" as the town/city and it took me clear across the other side of the city. I wasted an hour trying to get to where I needed to go for the ruinion!
I got in my car with the GPS and called Tom Tom. I don't even have the engine turned on and I turned on the GPS and it says I'm driving up Route 95. Even shows the streets it says I'm passing! After an hour on the phone trying to reformat the thing, the girl forwarded me over to another location for me to send the gps back to them because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. But wait! It gets better. The woman on the other line needed to send me a UPS package for me to ship it back to them and it required a signature. Well, obviously I can't sign for it during the weekday since I am well... "hello! at work making money to be able to afford this piece of junk". I ended up having to have her ship it to my work so I could sign for it. So they want me to send it back to their shop so they can try to repair it. And I'm without a GPS for 3 weeks and out $175 let alone being late and missing part of my family reunion.
I highly recommend going with a competitor (then again, this company is so low on the totum pool, I don't think they even have a competitor).
