I had really high hopes for my new TomTom XL 340s. It is very slim and the windshield mount is pure genius.

That's where it ended.
The first time I used it, headed from the middle of nowhere to a particular restaurant it failed to get me there because it couldn't find the name in it's 'points of interest' table.
I had no trouble finding that exact restaurant in my old Garmin later that night.
Easily 50% of the addresses I put in are incorrect when it says I am 'arriving'... most of which it has put me at the wrong end of the street and I have to figure it out on my own.
I can drive MY way and watch my 'arrival time' improve.
I gave it 6 monhts then I gave up!
Thankfully, TomTom has such a presence in the GPS market that I was able to sell mine in 30 min's on eBay, for about what I paid for it, and I bought another Garmin.
And I was constantly being reminded about their map update services where they charge way too much for new maps (no different than Garmin in that respect) but the address problems I was having were always 20 year old house numbers on established residential streets and there is no way I was going to spend more of my money to see if a map update fixed the problems.
