Cons:Tomatoes will not grow upsidedown. End of story.
It is difficult to find anything good to say about the topsy-turvy.
Aside from the obvious, it doesn't work. It is extremely heavy when full of dirt and water - never mind the plant. It took 2 of us holding it up to try to hang it with just the dirt.
I tried every way you can imagine planting my sweet 100's - even starting them from within a pot with the topsy-turvy over the pot. As healthy as the plants were, they always died after about a week upsidedown. They always tried to grow up - not a good sign.
The last planting was in the top opening - even then they didn't do well.
