| DenimDude's Full Review: Toro Super Recycler Mower |
As I have used Toro lawn equipment for over 30 years, I knew that this Toro model 20057, Super Recycler mower would be the perfect one to start my new lawn-care service with. Below are key features that will be discussed a bit later.
Features of this model 20057 include:
-Super Recycler blade cutting system
-Overhead Valve, 6.75 Horsepower, Briggs & Stratton engine
-Changeable Oil Filter
-Easily manueverable light weight design with cast aluminum deck. Total mower weight is 88 lbs.
-Easy pull start. Really does start in just one or two pulls. Guaranteed in normal service use for 5 years.
-Toro's Personal Pace, Self propelled rear wheel drive system. Can propel the mower as fast as you can walk,up to 4 miles per hour. (I run on the treadmill at 4.3 mph.)
-Forward motion stops dead, right when you do (stop walking, that is).
Now, the details.
As I get to my first account's house, I am eager to learn how well this 20057 Toro Super Recycler mower will perform. Will it yield the professional results that my competition gives with their big, professional riding mowers?
The answer, to my relief, is YES. It chopped my customer's thick, 8-inch grass, into very small pieces, -leaving the appearance that the lawn was professionally groomed and bagged. The Super Recycler cutting action really does a professional job and I know now that with this Toro mower #20057, my business performance can remain in the top niche class.
The OHV (overhead valve) Briggs and Stratton engine starts easily and never bogs down in heavy grass. This makes cutting even overgrown, heavy and thick lawns, a snap.
Oil Filter. Without this, my mower would not look, nor be maintained as a professional piece of lawn service equipment would. I could not comfortably cut many lawns knowing that the engine's oil wasn't being filtered. An oil filter adds to the life of an engine by trapping small abrasive particles in the oil. (Toro recommends the 1st oil change be performed after the first 5 hours of operation.) The oil filter canister can be seen coming from the massive engine body at a 45 degree angle. One fills the oil through the engine's top-mounted filler tube. Oil is also drained from this same tube as you tip the mower increasingly sideways.
Easy to manuever mower is lightweight. (This mower is lightweight, weighing in at 88 lbs.) Since I am of small-framed stature, by nature, a lighter weight mower is much more easy for me to maneuver, especially in tight places. It is a pleasure to use this mower and I enjoy mowing around objects. It really is fun for me, and provides me with exercise.
Personal Pace, self-propelled traction, works just as the name implies. Mower goes when you start walking, and the mower's forward motion stops completely, when you stop walking.
In summary, I am extremely happy with this Toro 20057, 6.75 HP, Super Recycler mower. The mower's blade can be removed for sharpening by removing one bolt. Other components in the Super Recycler's design need no sharpening.
I would recommend this mower to professionals and homeowners, alike. It is one of the best things I've purchased in a long time.
