Pros: Big beautiful clear picture.
Cons: Down time because of bad bulb, under warranty and fixable.
The Bottom Line: I would buy this unit again. Toshiba needs to buy better bulbs in their initial offering of this unit, instead of sending a better quality bulb later.

| Kimberleih's Full Review: Toshiba 62HMX95 62 in. HDTV DLP TV |
The Toshiba Cinema Series 62" is an awesome purchase! DLP stands for Digital Light Processing. We bought our Cinema Series in November '05 and so far, have not regretted this addition to our family room. The only problem we have had so far, has been the bulb. Within the first 2 months of use the bulb burned out. However, the television was still under manufacturer warranty when our bulb went out, we contacted Toshiba (at that time the customer support person I spoke with informed me that they had a bad batch of bulbs), replacement was free. They sent a repairman out to our home, (this took a day for the initial visit and a few days for the part they ordered to come in). It was an inconvenience, and I have to admit I was not happy! Once we were on our way to enjoying our HUGE Cinema Series, it is hard to find words to describe the picture quality, we were amazed with the clarity and color this television produces. We looked at other brands and chose this model and make because the black is a true black. DLP television compared to LCD is a preference. DLP, (Digital Light Processing) uses mirrors unlike LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) which uses liquid. DLP won't fade it will remain sharp and clear after years of use as long as your bulb is good. We like that we can change the brightness for sports and movies, (besides, it is worth it to have all of our family and friends comment on how big and clear the picture appears). The extended warranty lets us rest assured that any problems will be taken care of in a nominal amount of time. I am not a big fan of extended warranties, I feel that the manufacture should stand behind their product. Electronics typically do not come with warranties over 90 days as a standard. In this case with the amount of money we spent I am happy we purchased this extra bit of insurance. I love this television and am hoping to get a bigger one in the future!
