Pros:Looks great, lots of features, good google reviews about this product. Records in common formats.
Cons:none for me at this present time.

Bought this from TigerDirect on sale for limited time at $89.00 cdn a few months ago.
I have not done much testing with it yet but the few times I have used it I find it works great.
I bought a CyberHome DVR 1600 recorder a couple of yrs ago to transfer home movies but did not like the format it recorded in because I could not find a converter to transfer it to mpeg or avi on my computer. The Toshiba will record in common formats so my problem is solved. Now I will get to recording my old home movies very soon.
I would recommend this Toshiba over the CyberHome that I have also any day.
