Pros: 1st Quality. Satellite system remote compatible. Great Picture, Nice Clean Look.
Cons: Not the cheapest set out there but we tend to get what we pay for....
I was looking for a small TV/DVD combo for my daughters room.
Why I chose the Toshiba:
I first purchased a Polaroid brand but had to take it back. Documentation nor the manufacturer could provide a code for universal remote on my Dish Network Satellite receiver. Took the remote to the store and of all the TV/DVD combos only the Toshiba and a couple other high end brands were fully functional. I know this sounds petty but for only $20 to $30 more than the cheapy I got a quality product and I don't need to fumble around with two remotes. Spread that over 5 or so years and it's money well spent in my opinion.
What I like about the Toshiba:
Worked with every disc format I could throw at it, those off the PC, store purchased and Netflix. Documentation states will accept DVD Video, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, VCD and DVD-R and of course all the regular movie DVDs. Watch a movie or listen to your CD collection.
Great Stereo sound from the front firing speaker system.
Couldn't ask for a nicer picture at any price. All functions are easily controlled from the included remote. Front and rear inputs for hooking up video game systems. Nice clean look with no extra bulk.
Great product at a reasonable price and definitely a cut above the chinese sets carrying the name brands of now defunct US TV manufacturers.
