I was ecstatic when my dad informed me of our purchasing of a DVD player. I was thinking in my mind that it would be a great addition to our home-entertainment area in our family. I thought about the picture quality, the cool extra things that DVDs have, and the fact that there would be no more rewinding! Oh bliss, but I thought to my self, "don't get too worked up, it could be bad". I was oh so very wrong.
I have played all types of movies on this thing and it plays each in theater quality. It handles all the need we have for sound and picture quality. It also plays HDCDs in studio quality. To quote the little paper in side, " the way they are supposed to be heard". This is also cool because if you look a lot of CDs you have in your very home have the HDCD symbol on it. It plays normal CDs too.
Another cool thing about it is the remote. The remote glow in the dark, has a thing that slides down, and runs on 2 AAA batteries. It has the arrows that can be used to move around the menu, etc. It also has so many buttons that have so many uses that there is no need to get up to even touch the actual player. Case in point; you can switch the disks with a touch of a button.
There is yet another neat feature that is cool that i just mentioned, the two disk capabilities. You could put one music disk and one DVD in there and switch when desired. It is also convenient because if you own two or rent two you can switch as soon as you are done with one. It is very convenient.
This is a top of the line player. It greets you every time you turn it on and it tells you to read the instruction manual the first time you turn it on. This is a good deal if you can get it off a "bidding" site like Ebay. It may be a little pricey retail, but is it very, very good none the less.
