My fiance and I had purchased this dvd player after months of research for a great player. We purchased it in December 1999. Watching movies on it was great for the first few weeks, then we got involved in moving and watching movies was on hold for a few months. Now that we have settled in our new place and the dvd player was all ready to go......What happened???
The movies were skipping and freezing up. We had cleaned it and took very good care of it. Since we have had it over a year already...guess what? Our warranty is up. We have tried many movies in it and get the same results. The problem is loading. When we put the disc in to play it tells us no disc loaded. We have to repeat it about 30 times to get it going only to watch half of the movie and then it freezes up.
Overall it plays great and the sound is excellent. I will not purchase another dvd player. I will repair this one and see how long it will last.
I was wondering if any one else has this problem with their dvd player.
I actually miss watching dvds on it and really cant wait to get it fixed.
I would recommend this dvd player to everyone in hopes that it is a small malfunction. When I find out the results from the repair I will post it on an update.
