Best bang for the buck I've seen recently, and I look all the time. XP Home edition is better than Me or 98, but XP Pro would be better for those needing to use this laptop in a corporate network. Has all the bells and whistles including DVD/CDRW drive, USB ports, floppy, integrated 10/100 NIC and 56Kbps modem. No serial port for those needing to attach to console ports, but a USB - DB9 adapter works fine. I have been using a Linksys PC card WiFi adapter for wireless ethernet and have been very impressed with speed and stability. Installation was also a snap. Great graphics and the screen is large, bright and crisp.
