This laptop has proven to be one of the best out there. I have had this laptop for almost 3 years now and have not had any major setbacks. The only time it crashed, was when I downloaded a virus and it shut my computer down. Had to do a reinstall of XP, but after that, back up and running without a skipped step. I bought this laptop when it first came out for $1,499 and was a hell of a lot cheaper than one of the Sony's that I was looking at. Both had what I needed but Sony wanted over $2,000 for that model!! I like Toshiba since they are very comparable to Sony but not as expensive.
