| bradshawcl's Full Review: Toy Buddies Exerciser Mini Tennis Ball 6 Pack |
Henry love tennis balls- the only thing is that regular sized tennis balls are a little too big for his mouth- he has to carry them on the side of his mouth. Plus, we lost his tennis ball somewhere, so I got a 6 pack of Toy Buddies Mini Exerciser Balls. I believe I paid somewhere in the $4 range.
These balls are a lot smaller than regular sized tennis balls, only 1.5 inch diameter, which is half the size of tennis balls. The colors of ours aren't very different, for some reason we ended up with 4 pink and blue colored balls, then one purple and red then another that is orange and green. But Henry's not too particular about what color ball he has. There is also a black pawprint stamped on the balls as well.
These are quite a bit thicker than regular tennis balls as well, when I say thicker I mean they're harder and they don't dent as easily as a tennis ball would. So, they are a little bit tougher for those pups out there that like to chew on their tennis balls. But, since they are harder, when you toss them you run a greater risk of breaking something if you're using them indoors, so be sure to be aware of that. Also, since this is a harder ball, it doesn't bounce as high as a regular ball would but Henry doesn't jump up in the air after these anyway, he prefers for them to be rolled around on the floor.
These have tennis ball fuzzy material on them, and that's the only thing that wears out on these balls very easily, seems like Henry has more fun pulling the fuzz off than anything else. But, they are just the right size for his mouth and he can carry these a whole lot easier. These balls also have a little jingle bell in them, but you can't hear it very well, but you can hear something rattling in the ball when you shake it.
Overall, these are great toy balls- they are very durable for the most part, but Henry is not a tough chewer, but note that these are made stronger than tennis balls. He can carry this in his mouth really well, and I think large cats would probably like these balls as well. Overall, a good value for the money, especially if your pet hides or tears up his toys easily. Something I would recommend for smaller dogs.
