I've got three of these heaters and the design is good, old-fashioned, USA industrial giant, type stuff. Very simple parts. One that I've had for over 30 years is going strong and heats well. I like it so much that I bought 2 new models of the same heater. The outer case and internals are the same except for the new OSHA and other gov't safety screens and tip over device and reset button. The quality of the connectors and wires is poor. the two new heaters stopped working within 6 months (ONE WINTER SEASON USE). I opened one to find three of the four wires to the heating elements have burned through and are dangling loose inside. Whatever connector or cheap wire was used just burned through with very light use. I'm disappointed. There's no warranty. Fortunately it's a simple enough design that I think I can fix it better than new. I see this is a common problem with these heaters and I think TPI (the manufacturer) should get their Chinese builder to step up with better assembly and better wire. I paid extra for this heater because I liked my old one so much, but I got shafted on the new ones. Don't buy it.
