I recently went to the Trader Vic's in Emeryville CA, the original Trader Vic's and it was unbelievable. First of all the waiters and captains are very friendly and are sure to make you laugh. The wide assortment of drinks are so well made that you will be sure to suck down a few before the night is over. They have a wonderful spinach soup called Bongo Bongo soup that is sure to warm you up before you start on your main course. I had the Indonesian Rack of Lamb and let me tell you that their have been few other things in my life that I have tasted that can even compare. It was so flavorful and juicy coming from their wood oven that you want to savor it all night long. To top the night off I had the Chocolate Island Paradise desert which is so rich that you will find yourself having a hard time finishing it considering how full you are. Now this dinner will set you back a pretty penny but when the bill comes you will be in such a relaxed mood from the plethora of flavors throughout the night it will seem like they are giving it away. One of my best dining experiences ever.
