I purchased this machine from Lowes it is the 31cc model that came with a weeder and I purchased the edger attachment for an extra $69.00. The weeder was easy to assemble. The attachments are very easy to interchange. You just loosen one knob and push a safety release pin. The attachment then slides off. The attachments come with a dust cap to protect the shaft from damage and dust when stored.
Starting the machine is very easy. There is a one button choke that shuts off automatically once it is started. To start the machine is a 3 step process.
1. Prime utilizing the primer bulb.
2. Flip the choke.
3. Pull the cord and depress throttle trigger.
The line is easily replaced with 15 feet of line. The automatic line feeder works well. If you tap the head too much you may over extend the line but it self adjust by cutting the line.
There is a lot of power with this machine. The edger attachment is a bit awkward and requires you get the speed up before starting edging. Once you get used to the operation it is fairly easy to use and the finished product is quite nice.
This is definitely a very nice addition to any home with a lawn to maintain. The great part is no corners piled with a multitude of garden equipment.
