The Bottom Line: Gets the job done in half the time. Quality and durability are here in this machine. Still going great in 2010

This Troy-Bilt 13045 13 HP / 45" Deluxe Two-Stage Polar Blast Snowthrower comes with Touch controlling system to make everything move and work with the motions of your fingertips. The 13 Horsepower Tecumseh Snow King Engine is strong enough to go through the deepest of snows without stalling. The Electric Push-Button Start lets you plug in an electric cord from your home or garage to the starter on this machine. Give the fuel bubble a couple squirts into the carburetor and the press the starter button which will start by the second push.
This Troy-Bilt 13045 Polar Blast has a extra wide 45" clearing width. This machine mouth is too big for conventional sidewalks. I use this machine only on driveways and parking areas. The 22 inch Intake Height can withstand those big snow storms and with the Heavy Duty 16 inch Impeller make the snow flow easy even in the deepest of storms. This Impeller will throw the snow 15 to 20 feet depending on the angle of the shoot director.
The Touch and Turn Steering control panel effortlessly maneuvers using trigger controls located on the handles. The All Wheel Drive - 6 Forward/2 Reverse speeds with no pushing. This four wheel based axle has two wheels in each side. The knobby tires will go through anything. To make steering adjustments each wheel base has a trigger arm on each side of your handle. To make a left turn just squeeze the left trigger gently and the left tires will accelerate to make the turn you need. Same with the right side.
This will be my second season using this machine. The 13 Gauge Steel Commercial Frame is very durable and is easily loaded on my trailer. You will need a tie-down to keep it in place when going from one job to another. The In-Dash Dual Halogen Headlights makes using this snowthrower easy to use at night or the early morning. The electric hand warmers will keep your fingers warm while using this machine. Just One Hand Operation will keep the unit moving while easily adjusting the pitch or rotating the chute. The Standard Remote Pitch Control lets you adjust where you want the snow to go with the touch of your hand.
This Polar Blast 13045 comes with standard grease fittings in the snow chute and axle. They must be grease at least twice a year or after every third use. This snowthrower comes with a Chute Clearing Device to protect your hands from cleaning unwanted snow build up in the chute.
Like I said before this Troy-Bilt Polar Blast 13045 Snowthrower is not for the standard sidewalk. This machine is for bigger jobs. With the average sidewalk being three feet wide you would have an extra nine inches with this 45 inch mouth on this blower.
The control panel is very easy to use. It lets you steer and direct the snow with simple touches of the control arms. I strongly recommend this machine for those with long and wide driveways, or those who have small businesses that can not afford to pay someone else to do it for them.
This snowthrower comes with a two year limited warranty. Go to their website to get any extra incentives like free shipping.
