Pros:Sturdy construction, soft belt, relatively quiet operation
Cons:5 year warranty does not include labor (only 1 year). Repair visits expensive.
The Bottom Line: This is a great treadmill. If your dealer offers an extended warranty, take it. Otherwise mindful of the high cost of possible future repairs.
I bought the True 450 about a year and a half ago. I chose it for its advertised durability and quality. It ran like a champ until last month when its controller board suddenly died. While the faulty part was covered by their 5 year warranty, the labor was not (only a 1 year warranty). It cost me $100 to have someone to come out and replace the board which took all of 10 minutes. Yes, it is very good treadmill, but I have friends with cheaper ones that have lasted much longer without need for repair. The repair costs are outrageous and for the price I paid for this machine, it should not have failed in so short a time.
