The Bottom Line: This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The city of Miami seriously needs to inspect this hotel, fine it or shut it down.

I arrived for my 3 night stay at the Tudor Hotel in Miami Beach, FL on Sat. August 2. Following are the issues I had with the first room I was given:
-The floor was dirty; I took a photograph of what appeared to be a urine stain
-The air conditioner needed freon because it was blowing warm air even at the highest setting
-The telephone and area near my bed was infested with small spider-type bugs; I again took a photo of a rash of hives on my leg after I awakened from a nap itching and discovered bugs on the wall and bed
The last issue was the worst so I went to the front desk and quietly explained what was happening. I was told to speak to the head of housekeeping, who then accompanied me to my room and moved me into a second room.
I really did not want to stay in this hotel but did not want to cause a scene so instead I let them move me then I left for a few hours. When I returned I could not get into the building. My keycard had only been activated for my room door. Additionally, the remote control for my television did not work, there was more dirt on the floor and once again, I discovered more bugs and took more photos.
It was now 11:30 on a Saturday night. Since I did not know the area very well I waited until 9am the next morning to leave. The staff's response to my very unpleasant stay? I was told, "We're sorry you feel that way".
I wrote to the hotel consolidator requesting assistance with this stay. I have received email stating that they have forwarded my email and photographs to the management at the Tudor and are awaiting their response. So far there has been none. This may be an issue that should be taken up with my credit card company.
