Pros: Good price, great location
Cons: Not fancy, just a room
The Bottom Line: In South Beach you're never in your room anyway. Location and price more than make up for an average room.

| brian428's Full Review: Tudor Hotel & Suites South Beach |
In March 2004 I had my second stay at the Tudor in South Beach, FL for the Winter Music Conference. Seeing the other bad reviews I was thinking maybe my first stay was a fluke. But the second stay confirms it: the Tuder is a fine little hotel in an awesome location. Some reviews say the place is dirty, bug-infested, or whatever. The Tudor had none of these qualities during either of my stays. Is it on par with a Mariott or Hilton? No. But the Mariott in South Beach is about $500 a night. If that's what you expect, go pay for it. What I expect is a decent, clean room that I can crash at in between excursions to Miami, the beach, and the South Beach nightlife. The Tudor delivers this very nicely, for a very cheap price considering its location. The great nightclub Mansion is 1 block away, as is the beach and Ocean Drive. You can't beat that for this price. So, you can believe the bad reviews if you wish, but I think that this hotel is a good bargain and it isn't the nasty place that these other people seem to label it.
