The Mountain Tunnel Set was my son's big gift from Santa along with a Brio train table. He was SSSSooooo Excited to awake to this on Christmas morning and now, 5 months later, still plays with it with excitement.
The mountain comes fully decorated with scenery in bright colors. The set also includes the popular Sir and Lady Tophamm Hatt, five vehicles (including Thomas) and a huge assortment of track and accessories. There is also a covered bridge as well as the arched bridge.
This set makes a great starter set and includes everything needed for many different variations of railways. The price is pretty high. We got it at an outlet for 169.99 but if you tried to buy all the pieces separately, it would run much higher. This set comes with so many pieces and a large variety of track, it makes it well worth the money.
The quality is outstanding! Learning Curve gives an unconditional lifetime guarantee with all of its products. The entire set is well made, easy to assemble for even the smallest toddlers. My neice who is 2 years old loves this set just as much as my 4 year old son.
The mountain is huge. It has 3 levels that come apart into 3 pieces for storage. The set includes plenty of connectors, curves, straight pieces, bridges, tunnels, trains, signs, and so much more that it is sure to keep little ones busy for many hours.
The mountain is almost too large to assemble on a Brio table. It takes up most of the table and doesn't leave much room for the actual tracks that connect to it without having all sharp turns. I recommend setting this set up on the floor so the kids have plenty of room to build their railway and to save the table for smaller sets.
The entire family will have a great time putting together the railway. I highly recommend this set to everyone with children.
