It kind of makes me sad to see people drop their cash on Creative products when the TBSC is both cheaper and far superior. I've had one of these for close to two years now, and it's still not only kept up with the times well, I'm still waiting for the first problem with it.

My compliments to Roj for an excellent appraisal. Sound cards are seldom evaluated in terms of 'accuracy', or 'detail', or 'musicality'. Yet, much of our music is now experienced in front of a computer. (I know, it's probably a sad commentary on modern life.) Anyway, I took Roj's advice, and found his comments to be accurate and helpful. Ditto for his appraisal of Monsoon speakers. The 502's and a Santa Cruz sound card make for a very satisfying combination.
Now, if I can just find time to listen to some real, live music...

You've said it better than I ever could have, brother--since I possess the incredibly lame SoundBlaster Live! Value, something about Creative bothered me. You pinned it down. Oh, and you sold me on the Santa Cruz, too.
