Massive, clean rooms, awful service

Pros:Huge, clean guest rooms, low price, decent casino, 5 restaurants
Cons:service is a disgrace, $11.99 for wi-fi
The Bottom Line: If you'd like a place right off the strip with a decent little casino and great room values, examine this one, but book at the Westin Casurina across the street.
I bought a 3 night stay to Tuscany Suites off a phone solicitor. Basically I agreed to the low rate and had to see a Wyndham Timeshare presentation in return. That was brutal, but the review isn't about that.
Tuscany isn't that far off the strip, but it's far enough to be a major pain in the butt. On a hot Vegas day after drinking a bit, the last thing you want to do is walk a country mile down Flamingo to get there.
Other than that, the service is among the worst I've ever seen or even heard of. Everyone was friendly, but nothing got done. We requested a smoking room, and we got non-smoking. As soon as I realized our room was non-smoking, I hit zero on my phone. I got the runaround, and was transferred 2 or 3 times, and got irrelevant voice mails. The issue was never solved-- I tried for a half hour. We ended up smoking in the room and trying to blow it out the window.
The second issue was trying to get a rollaway bed/cot. We were told that because our room had 2 double beds, a rollaway was a fire hazard.
Unbelievable. The rooms are massive. You could fit 5 or 6 rollaways in them and still be able to get out the door. Then I called back, and lied and said we had a King bed. They didn't even realize that we had two doubles until they got to the door. I tried to bribe the maintenance guy, but he wouldn't bite. My poor buddy had to sleep on the couch cushions.
The casino is pretty good... it's pretty small by Vegas standards, but $1.00 roullette, $5.00 blackjack (daytime only), and $5.00 craps table are fun for people on a budget or beginners.
The only place we ate at was Marilyn's Cafe, which is the all night place. I tell you, when you're as liquored up as we were, the $4.00 1/2 lb. Monster Mash Burger is great.
It's hard to complain about the rooms. They are clean and much bigger than most. It's like a suite, but only one room. The fridge was good too, but it's not a kitchenette, like some have described.
If all you're going to do is stay in the room, and you don't require anything from the staff, you'll be happy here. It's a nice property with awful management.
PS: The shower is on a slant and water pools against the far side. When you're hung over and you already have vertigo, this isn't fun.
