Not everyone is going to want to sink $18.00 in to a pair of tweezers but I see it as a solid investment. I've had tweezers from Revlon and a couple of other companies and they "worked" but they could be a little frustrating. The 'slant' on this does not mean the bottom edge is slanted, it means that the inside lip is slanted so when you grab a hair it is forced between the two edges to reduce slippage. The easiest way to describe them is that they look like stilts; strange but that's what I think of when I see these.

I do prefer the pointed slant tweezers for digging out splinters or to get out ingrown hairs. The price on them is about the same so if you only want to get one pair, make sure you know the limitations of both of the different tweezers. . If you are going to use any type of tweezer to dig out a hair that is ingrown you are going to want to make sure that you clean any area that is going to come in contact with the area around the hair.

They are almost four inches long so they are a decent size to use; I have a couple longer ones that I got when I was in the hospital that I use for certain things but in most cases you can't get a good grip on a piece of hair with the longer tweezers because of where the pressure where your hand is hitting it. You are getting an almost even split on these meaning that that there is an almost even length to the top [solid] and bottom [split] area of the tweezer. If you are keeping these in a make up bag, use a prong protector to keep the bottom sections together to prevent them from jabbing in to other things.

Even though there are no textured areas on the ends of this, it is easy to grip and use. You can get these in a variety of colors and designs but I went with the basic stainless steel version. They are well made and so far I have had no problems with them turning or showing any signs of rust. I do use the pointed slant tweezers a little more often. Nothing is going to make tweezing less painful but if you can avoid having to grab and pull on the same piece of hair a couple of times it does make the process a little less frustrating.

I ordered these online and was happy with them when I got them and started using them but when I stopped in at a local beauty supply store I saw the pointed slant version and wished I would have seen those instead. While there is nothing wrong with the slant on this, I do prefer the pointed slant. For me it is easier to use and work with and I can use it for more 'things'. If you are going to order these online, make sure you are getting the pair that you want. I had no idea that there were so many specialty tweezers on the market.

At about $18.00 this is a luxury item for me; regular five dollar tweezers will do about the same job but can be a little more frustrating to work with. If you tweeze often then you might as well at least get something that is going to help get the job done a little more efficiently. You are getting a lifetime warranty with your purchase but chances are I will end up losing these before I would need to have anything done to them.
