The Bottom Line: Sesame oil is a must if you like to prepare Asian meals.
You can use most oils for frying but sesame oil isn't one of them. However, it can be used for stir-frying. Light sesame oil has a high smoke point and is suitable for deep-frying, while dark sesame oil has a slightly lower smoke point and is unsuitable for deep-frying. Most recipes recommend that you sprinkle it over food just before serving.

Sesame seed oil is derived from sesame seeds. TY LING SESAME OIL is a fragrant oil and much darker in color than other oils and it has a slightly sweet, nutty flavor that is enhanced by toasting the seeds. Sesame seed oil is essential in oriental dishes. The shelf life of Sesame oil can be anywhere from one month to six months depending on whose opinion you believe. Best advice, smell and taste it before adding it to your dish.
Although it doesn't say anywhere on the bottle, TY LING SESAME OIL is a toasted sesame oil. You know this by the dark brown color of the oil. There are other sesame oils that are much lighter in color where the sesame seeds are not toasted.
TY LING SESAME OIL comes in a small bottle with an easy-to-hold shape. The rubber cap doesn't screw off but instead is a flip-top to open and press to close.
Some people believe that sesame oil can be used for massage or for stress-related symptoms. Prior to 600 BC, (wikipedia.org/wiki) Assyria used sesame oil as a food, salve, and medication, primarily by the rich. Hindus used it in votive lamps and considered the oil sacred. Even today mass production of sesame oil is limited due to the inefficient harvesting process required to extract the oil.
A tasty dipping sauce made with TY LING SESAME OIL goes with many Asian dishes:
Honey and Soy Dressing
· 2 tbsp honey
· 4 tbsp soy_sauce
· 1 tbsp sesame_seeds
· 4 tsp sesame_oil
· 2 tsp coriander fresh, chopped
Mix all the ingredients together and serve.

Here's a tasty Rachael Ray recipe for Sesame Noodles. It's an alternative to your typical spaghetti dish for a change of pace.
1 tablespoon peanut-butter
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
1/3 pound thin spaghetti, cooked to al dente, drained and cooled
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 scallion, chopped
Whisk peanut butter, soy, cayenne, oil and sesame oil. Add noodles and toss to coat. Sprinkle noodles with sesame and scallion to garnish.
