I purchased this software shortly after receiving my Canon Elura 40 DV camcorder, when I realized that most of the footage I took with the camera needed some serious editing. I wasn't very familiar with editing software, and spent a good amount of time looking at the selection of available titles before choosing Ulead VideoStudio 6. The advertised feature set was impressive, and the price was moderate in comparison with it's competitors.
Installation went smoothly, as well as getting VideoStudio to recognize my camcorder. I would like to mention, though, that my friend's DVD-R camcorder would not readily connect with Ulead.
Capturing video from my camera, and playing with the footage are a breeze. cutting scenes, adding music, creating titles and adding quality transitions are all drag-and-drop operations, and yield high-quality results.
Outputing the resulting video is easy, with many format options available... There's even an included plugin to create a VCD or DVD, if your computer has the necessary equipment. I've made several videos now, and am very happy overall with my purchase.
