| copperwood's Full Review: Ultrex 17-Piece Cookware Set |
I have purchased several sets of Ultrex II from HSN. With a 75 year guarantee, I figured, what did I have to lose? At first I loved my new cookware and I ordered more because the non-stick surface worked, the clear lids were fantastic. Then in less than five years of ownership, one by one, the pans began to disintegrate. Never once, did I use metal utensils, not even the ones that came with the cookware, but still, scratches and even what appeared to be gouges began to appear on the non-stick surface which also began to peel away from the rims. The number of un-useable Ultrex pans in my collection is growing and I now have to dig back and find every receipt, to prove I purchased them. I would really like to buy another line of stainless steel, but at $500-600 a set, that is not feasible. Having to ship all these back is going to be a pain. I've learned my lesson, no more online shopping of items that will be difficult to return and no more Ultrex.
