I always love to buy new pens, which is funny because I'm sure I do more typing than actual writing. I'm a pen freak, but it's a hard road to hoe (yep, I hoe roads occassionally) because I frequently am let down by the pens I choose. They either smudge too easily or the ink flow is broken and my writing ends up looking shoddy. I am always in search of better writing utensils. So, when I saw the Uniball Fusion on the shelf at the college bookstore, I was irresistably drawn to it in only the way you can be irresistably drawn to a pen. Um, yeah.
The truly nifty thing about the Uniball Fusion is that the barrel is clear, completely see through and has a watery clear liquid inside. This is the ink. (Audience: WOW!) When you write with the pen, this clear ooze changes into black ink on your paper RIGHT BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES!!! (Audience: YAY! Tell us MORE!)
The ink flows really well and the pen itself is easy to grip while writing. This isn't like some of those gel ink pens that are sloppy and smudgy to write with and the ink comes out in unattractive spurts. (Man, am I still talking about pens here? YES I AM!) The plastic that makes up the pen seems pretty thick and sturdy too, not too wide and not too thin. And the little clip-on thing that goes in a shirt pocket (or, pocket protector, should you own one... hahahahahahaha) is a piece of thick clear smooth plastic that comes to a point, really different, attractive, and it goes with the whole "transparent" theme of the whole shabbang, I mean, pen. (Audience: Ooooooh! Aaaaaaah! Ohhhhhh!)
So, it's neat because you get to see the clear goop go through the almost completely transparent internal workings of the pen and when you write with it, the goop changes colors. Everybody likes fun color changing things, even adults right? Is it just me? It can't be just me. It is? (Audience: *shrugs, blank stares, nose picking*) Oh...
Now, I don't actually work for Uniball (in fact, that whole stalking case currently pending really should be thrown out) so I'm not really trying to hock pens here, but this is just a really nice pen to own. I was not at all disappointed with my purchase (and at the college bookstore it's a little expensive - for me anyway - and these cost me $3.99 for a two pack. For you four bucks might be nothing, but for me, that's a Big Mac extra value meal.) I hope these are around for awhile because when I get done using these two up, I'll probably RUSH RIGHT OUT and buy more like the crazed pen junkie I am, on the black market if I have to. Yep.
Anyone who likes to buy pens at all for any reason whatsoever (hmmm, what other reason could there be besides writing? That's a scary thought...) should get some of these Uniball Fusion Pens. I want all of the other colors now. I want to collect Uniball Fusion pens. I want to use Uniball Fusion pens to paint my walls. I want to get a Uniball Fusion pen tattoo on my forehead. Ok, just checking if you were still with me. If you weren't, and you were say, out to buy some Uniball Fusion pens, then that's ok, you were doing something good.
SO BUY SOME TODAY! (Audience- the five warm bodies who are left: *UPROAROUS APPLAUSE* That I swear isn't canned!!)
