Pros: The GPS feature! Few false alarms after you've driven around town for a week.
Cons: Sometimes LEDS are hard to see in bright sunlight.
The Bottom Line: I'd recommend this unit to anyone. You get ample warning from the radar detector, an arrow always pointing you home, and a blissfully quiet ride with very few false alerts.

| rebelgentleman's Full Review: Uniden GPSRD Radar Detector |
This device has made my life a whole lot easier. I could have purchased any radar detector made, but the GPS capability was only offered by Uniden and is something I use all the time.
I suppose when I was born, the sense of direction gene most people are born with was left out of me. I can literally get lost going around the block. With an arrow always pointing home (or where ever else I have marked) I know, eventually, I'll find my way to a road I'm familiar with, and thus, back home. This is especially convenient since I recently move from Mich to NC, and has helped me many, many times.
The range of the detector is surprisingly good also. In Greensboro, NC the city-wide speed limit is 35 MPH. Riding up and down some of the hills we have here can inadvertently have you doing 10 MPH over the speed limit when coasting down said hill. I have gotten plenty of warning several times from over hills and around corners. This device is also very, very good at keeping false alarms to a very bare minimum because of its ability to remember locations of the false alarm due to the GPS capabilities. If there happens to be a stronger signal in the "same ol' spot" where you always get a false alarm, the detector will sound, and you should be alert. . .otherwise, the radar detector is blissfully quiet for my drives around town.
I wish I had one for both my vehicles. . .
