i have owned several radar detectors and this is by far the best i have owned. the detector works off satellite signals so the compass and all direction indicators are accurate. it has a great false alarm system that seems to eliminate false radar alarms. the detector actually learns where the false alarms occur as you drive by them. the next time you go by the same spot, the detector does not go off. the detector can also be set to show the distance from where you are to about 1500 cities nationwide. it also shows average speed and top speed driven. although this detector is a little pricey, if you need an accurate system and tired of false alarms this is the one. also i have had several uniden products and their customer service is by far the best i have dealt with.
