Pros: Good clam chowder
Cons: limited menu, food is average
The Bottom Line: My advice would be to go somewhere else if you are looking for a selection to choose from.

So I had to try the place, since everyone seems to rave about it when I talk about Boston. At least I can say I have been there now. I probably would not go back.
We walked the Freedom trail and of course this place is along the way. It is right place Fanuiel Hall as you start toward Paul Revere's house.
The menu is very limited, I think it had 12 items on it max. I will have to say that the clam chowder was very good and the corn bread is great. Other than that, I think the food was ok. I would not recommend a friend to go there unless they really wanted too.
My advice would be to wait until you get start up the hill to Paul Revere's house. There are a lot of restaurants that looked very good. We stopped to look at most of the menus and they seems to have great selections. They are in a part of town that appears very historic and kind of sets to back to a different time. Tight streets, houses on top of each other, the restaurants seemed very quaint.
