I have a terrible time trying to get any kind of sleep at night. There are some nights that I can't sleep at all. There are even times that I have gone to bed thinking I could fall asleep without any problems because I was so tired and have no luck. I don't have a prescription for a sleep aid due to not having insurance so I always had to rely on over the counter sleep aids just so that I could get some sleep.
I have tried many of them like Tylenol PM but they didn't work. Or rather I should say they worked to well. When I used them I couldn't wake up in the morning! I was groggy all day and actually felt worse then when I can't sleep at all. It has a pain reliever in it as well which Unisom doesn't. I don't need something that has extra symptom relief when I don't need it.
So I was looking at Unisom Night Time Sleep Aid Tablets at the store and decided to give them a try. Having a 2 year old and a 7 year old and staying at home with them, I really needed to sleep.
Description/Packaging
Unisom Sleep Aids come in a white box with an orange tab at the top. It says Unisom in black lettering and under that is an orange square that says Sleep Tabs in white. It has a picture of what the pills look like and is also the actual size. It says they are Doxylamine Succinate tablets. Only one tablet per dose.
There are 16 pills in a package. The pills come in those foil blister tabs. They are little light blue pills. They can also be cut in half really easy if half of one is all you need. To pop them out, peel back the paper on the back and push the pill through the foil. The pills even say Unisom on the front of them.
Before buying anything like this, I want to be able to read the drug facts so I will put them in my review below. The drug facts are taken off the package.

How they worked and my overall opinion
The Unisom Night Time Sleep Aid Tablets worked really well for me I am happy to say. I have been taking them for a week now and they really do work! I take one a half hour before I go to bed. I make sure I go to bed after I take them so I can get the required sleep when taking them. You should get 6-8 hours of sleep while taking them. I can fall asleep rather easily and stay asleep all night! I finally found something that works and I feel so much better! I also found that after taking them for about a week, I now don't have to take them every night!
Unisom isn't habbit forming which is something I look for when it comes to this kind of medication. They are easy to get out of the package and they are small. I really love how I can get the sleep that I need and wake up feeling refreshed and not groggy the next morning. That is really important to me since I stay home with our 2 kids everyday! If you are like me, you know exactly what I mean! If you have a problem sleeping, I would highly recommened you give this a try. It helped me!
Price/Availability
I got my Unisom Night Time Sleep Aid Tablets at my local Kroger in the pharmacy section of the store for about $8.00. I have seen them at every store I go shopping at in the pharmacy section for around the same price. They are easy to find.
