cochise_20009's Full Review: ViewSonic VP930 19 inch LCD Monitor
This is a 19 inch LCD of quality. That means that it is not inexpensive. But you get what you pay for. Response time is excellent, it will play fast DVD movies without any artifacting or smearing.
Ergonomically it's fine. The height adjustment is perfect, and cabling and tilt are dialed in. No problems here.
The display is the bottom line, how good is it?
The answer is, not bad. I had no dead pixels but some "stuck" pixels which were easily cured. Once that evolution was completed the monitor ran OK.
It's bright, out of the box. But it is adjustable as far as brightness/contast, etc. User friendly here. The normal settings seem best.
Color registration is fine, high res digital photographs come out perfect. The native mode of this monitor is 1280 x 1024, which pretty much means a serious graphics card.
I use an ATI Radeon 9550, which is OK but not exactly the hottest on the block. But it does drive this monitor.
No problems with this setup.
In sum, what can I say. I'm very pleased with this monitor, physically it is perfect.
