The V1 without a doubt is the best in its class. The price is steep but it might be worth it to a few who have gotten a few too many tickets.

The reason why this product is not worth it is because the customer service ABSOLUTLY could not be worse. They will try to trap you into paying them no matter what. And if you don't pay they will just keep your unit. Well isn't that convenient. If you dont pay the 50 dollars we will just hold your 400 dollar unit ransom.

My senario:
My unit wont switch modes. I call V1 up on the phone they give me all the info I ask 2x to confirm the service is covered under warrenty correct? ... YES... YES. I get a call 2 days after the unit arrives the tech says your ground in the hardwiring might be off there is nothing wrong with the unit. Ok I can live with that. So 2 weeks pass and I dont get the unit back so I call v1 and ask whats going on. I have an outstanding charge of 50 dollars and for what? Nothing was wrong with the unit and even if something was customer service told me it was covered under warrenty. So what do I end up doing? Well they give you the option either bite the bullet and give them 50 dollars or they will just confiscate your 400 unit.

To V1:

You could throw out 1/2 of your marketing and put it into your customer service and make double. I was recommending this unit to all my friends. When people asked me whats the best radar detector I told them. You will never again have my business or my praise. You have lost way way more than 50 dollars on this transaction. I have tossed tons of business your way but never again. Treat your customers like crap and they will stop doing business its as simple as that.
