Pros: No litter on my floor, love the handle.
Cons: My cat is afraid of it.
The Bottom Line: Great features! Prevents litter from getting all over the place, but doesn't seem to reduce odours.

My cat stinks.
No, he really does; you can't imagine. It isn't a medical condition, there's nothing wrong with him, it's just one of his more unattractive quirks. That is the primary reason I figured an enclosed litter box would help my Max and I. The box has an air filter at the top to reduce escaping odours... at least it claims to do so. I have not noticed any difference at all in comparison to the open litter box we used to have.
If odour reduction is not your greatest concern, though, this litter box does have some good qualities. Max's litter box lives in the bathtub and, with the old one, I had to line the tub with newspaper to catch all the excess litter Max pushed around. It was inconvenient and very, very messy. With the enclosed litter box, Max can dig around in there all he wasnt and that litter isn't going anywhere! It's a lot easier to take a shower these days, let me tell you. I just pick up the box using the handle on top and move it out of the tub.
I can see that most cats would like their privacy -I've encountered cats that won't even eat with people watching them- unfortunately, my cat is not one of those. He is afraid of his new litter box. I'm not sure why; maybe it's too dark in there, but whatever the cause, he will only use it when he really has to go. Even then, and I'm sorry if this is too much information, he tried to use the box without going into it. He'll stick his little bum in there, keeping his head outside, and go as quickly as he can. Poor Max!
This enclosed litter box is durable and has a lot of great qualities. I just wish my cat thought so too!
