Pros: Good second story, teaches important lesson in patience, variety of special features
Cons: First part is not that great and neither is the silly song
The Bottom Line: Overall decent Veggietales, especially the second story, and some good special features, but the first story about Abraham and the silly song are a little weak.

Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie''s plot.
The lesson taught by the veggies (and some fruits) of VeggieTales in this installment is patience. I think this is an important lesson that kids these days really need help in learning about and this DVD does help at least a little. I like the lesson taught and it is done pretty effectively for a movie, but it certainly is not among the top VeggieTales releases.
The first part of the movie is based loosely on the Biblical story of Abraham and Sara waiting to have a child. Sadly, it does have a major slip about the length of the wait (it says 15 years, but the wait was actually 25 years). The real sad thing is that I totally believed that it was as long as the movie said until I read some other reactions to the new VeggieTales and I imagine kids would be just as likely if not more likely to believe the movie was right. The story is told in an interesting way with it being a documentary style interview movie that Bob the Tomato and Junior the Asparagus do. There is some funny parts with a nurse running on set every time they talk about 'patience' because she thinks they are saying 'patients.' This story seemed kind of fast paced and seemed kind of crammed into being only a part of the whole episode.
The silly song for this episode is called "Sneeze If You Need To." It certainly is a silly song, but not all that catchy of one. It is basically about Bob trying to sneeze annd Larry the Cucumber being the sneeze doctor and trying to make him sneeze.
The second part of the story is the highlight to this movie in my opinion. It is about Larry playing an inventor that is too impatient to give his inventions the proper attention to do them right. This part of the show teaches about patience in terms of taking your time and avoiding mistakes that result from being too hasty. This one is also more musical and has some great tunes in it.
This DVD did disappoint me in the first segment and the silly song, but the special features were good as usual. The Behind the Scenes section has a making of short, a studio commentary version of the movie, art gallery, and discussion guide. The Fun & Games Section has video trivia, "Do You Rememb-UR?" memory game, silly song sing along, interactive storybook called "Babysitter of DeNile," and how to draw Abraham and The Boo-Boo Bird.
