During our "The Day After the Superbowl" shopping trip in the hunt for Larry the Cucumber, we happened across a few of each of the VeggieTales Bounce 'N Talk series. You've gotta get them all, right? So, I did, except for Bob the Tomato, who we finally had to order over the internet.

VeggieTales Bounce 'N Talk Junior Asparagus is completely adorable. He is roughly 7 1/2" tall and about 3" wide. His body is a vivid green with a white cloth mouth in a mischievous smile stitched in place. There is a gray line across his mouth giving the illusion of two rows of teeth. His eyes and nose are made of green molded plastic that have been firmly attached to his body. His nose is a little bit darker in color than the green that frames his white eyes and black pupils. The top of Junior's body is a darker green. It is also "poofy", giving him the asparagus look. On the very top, Junior sports a yellow baseball cap, with a red bill and button on top, sideways.

Our VeggieTales Bounce 'N Talk Junior Asparagus is a little tricky getting him to talk. Rather than being able to just bounce or drop him on a table, his voice box is kinda on the side. you have to drop him at an angle, just right, to get him to talk. I think, somehow, the box shifted. They had three at the store and ours was the only one I could get to talk.

VeggieTales Bounce 'N Talk Junior Asparagus' phrases, in no particular order, are:

While Zack doesn't play with Junior as much as he does Larry or Bob, he still is a welcome addition to our Bounce 'N Talk collection. His adorable little voice makes me grin when I hear it.

VeggieTales Bounce 'N Talk Junior Asparagus is recommended for children ages 3 and up and is surface washable only. He also, much to my disgust, comes only with non-replaceable batteries. The lifespan of these batteries, due to lack of protective packaging, is completely unknown.
