I picked up this phone because I text far more than I talk and I wanted QWERTY keypad. I almost purchased the ENV a year ago, but I didn't like the look and feel when I saw it in person.
Sound
Sound quality is pretty good. Occasionally have some volume issues which I attribute to not putting the phone up to my ear properly or losing my hearing more than anything else.
Menus
Boy there sure are a lot of them. And I'm one of those people who tosses out manuals so figuring out where things are is trial and error. For the most part, the menus are self explanatory and finding what you want is pretty quick.
Use
As with many phones these days, it really works better if you had a headset. While it's better than a lot of phones I've used/seen, it's still a little small to use as a phone.
Would like it to be a bit more configurable. For example the keyguard unlock is set in stone and that's caused a few problems.
Getting bluetooth to work was a bit glitchy at first, but that may have been because of the refurbished headset I bought. Works almost perfectly now.
Problems
Pocket dialing. As I said, keyguard unlock can't be configured and the default is any key then OK. A couple times a week, I hear voices coming from my pocket. Regularly I pull out the phone and it's in my contacts just waiting to dial. I've tried various things, but nothing seems to work. According to LG, Verizon asked for it to be that code. According to Verizon, it's the manufacturer's problem. Regardless, someone needs to fix it.
That's the only constant use problem I've had.
