I have gone through phone after phone and the EnV2 is the first phone I have been completely satisfied with. I would recommend it to anyone of any age.
Intro
When my other Verizon LG phone quit charging before it's 2 years were up I went into Verizon to see which phones they recommended would last. They gave me a couple options but the EnV2 was the only phone with the most reasonable price and looked the easiest to use. After mail-in rebate I bought the phone for about $50.00 dollars. For a cheap phone I have been really happy with the durability and performance of this phone.
Some of the features of this phone are a long lasting battery, dual screens, mp3 player, easy access buttons, easy to use features, 2.0 mega pixel camera, QWERTY keyboard, speaker phone, blue tooth, and a bunch of other features that I will probably learn how to use for as long as I have the EnV2.
Pros
2.0 mega pixel camera is a convenient feature on this phone. I know now there are more expensive phones with up to 3.0 mega pixel or higher but for the size of this phone I think the 2.0 is just enough quality if you just have to catch some Kodak moment and don't have a camera on you.
QWERTY keyboard is coming up in more and more phones but I think it is a great invention for the T9 challenged texters out there that just want to get a text done with out the hassle. Great example my 60 year old father loves the QWERTY keyboard because it is like a computer inside your phone.
Dual screens is a beautiful creation. I can look at a text on the outside of my phone if I just want to look at it really fast and answer later or I can flip it open and look at the text message bigger. It also makes it easier when I am looking at the inside screen for my father to see every word I am texting.
Easy texting allows people, like my 65 year old Aunt, to send messages in seconds. She sent me a picture message in about 30 seconds the other day when it would have normally taken her about 3 hours.
Easy to use buttons lets you get to a certain feature in a manner of seconds. So you are walking down the street and you see a man who is paying way to much attention to his blackberry and is about to walk into a glass door. If you want to record that you can! The buttons are that easy to find and use. Other buttons such as the speaker or music buttons are clearly labeled and easy to use.
Long lasting battery is such a luxury. I can drive for 2 days straight using my phone constantly with out charging it and by the end of the second day i still have at least a bar left. It has a standby of about 520 hours which is about 20 days of life as quoted on the website. Now that's what I call a battery.
Light weight and petite frame makes this phone one of the lightest phones I have bought. Sometimes I think that I have forgotten my EnV2 in a bathroom somewhere because I can't feel it in my pocket. It is way better then the bricks I have been carrying around. I don't want to build a brick house, I just want to make a call.
Cons
Small front screen makes it difficult to really see your text messages when you first start using the EnV2. Also if the text message is more then 160 characters or it is a picture message you have to open the phone in order to read it.
Smudges constantly from putting it up to your face and texting and it is hard to keep clean.
No flash on the camera makes taking pictures at night a pain. Not like having a flash makes night pictures that much better.
Overall
In the end this phone beats all other phones I have experienced. This thing is a beast when it comes to battery life and can do pretty much anything needed for normal phone use. It isn't a smart phone but for us normal folk it will do for an everyday use of communication. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap source of contact.
