I have dark brown hair but occasionally prefer a more dramatic, severe look to my hair and opt to rinse my hair black so theres no commitment. I tried several different black dyes and rinses and didn't really like the way they tend to dry my hair out. Then I found VIA natural semi-permenant hair color at my local beauty supply store. I haven't really noticed this product in any other chain stores in my community; however, they are quite easy to find and purchase online.

I was attracted to this product first of all because it was cheaper than my usual Clairol or Jazzing rinses. It was $1.99 when the others were $5.99-$7.99. I purchased VIA Natural hair rinse in SATIN BLACK; although, they had a few other black shades.

I basically followed the directions listed above. I was immediately impressed by the lightly fruity scent. It didn't have the chemical smell of most rinses or dyes. Also, it gave my hair great shine and actually left it feeling softer than it was before use.
I did notices that it takes alot of this product before I really notice my color darkening but thats not really a problem because it still comes out much cheaper than most rinses. Also, it doesn't last very long so if you really plan to keep the color up you would need to apply every 3-4 weeks.
Ive used this product over and over and have even used directly after relaxing and haven't noticed any damage to my hair. I also haven't noticed the color bleeding on my clothes or pillows.
