Pros: Effective and FAST relief of symptoms.
Cons: I wouldn't drive a go-cart while on it.
The Bottom Line: It's fast, it works, and it's a real cheap high.

| rebelgrrl's Full Review: Vicks DayQuil Liquid |
I haven't written an opinion in a while, and I don't know why I started again with Dayquil.
I had a bad cold and tried Dayquil at a friend's house. I liked taking Nyquil for colds (and still do) because it lets me sleep at night by clearing my nasal passageways and making me unconscious. I hadn't tried Dayquil until then because I figured it couldn't be as strong as the stuff that made me pass out.
Lo and behold, at the first sip, my congestion went away and I could breathe. The first thing I thought was, "This has GOT to have alcohol." And it didn't taste quite as thick and medicine-like as Nyquil does. It took it a little bit longer to relieve other symptoms, such as coughing and grogginess, etc.
After 20 minutes, I felt like what college education I had flew out the window and I had an IQ of 46. But I wasn't doing anything important, so it didn't bother me. That feeling didn't last long. My symptoms, however, stayed gone for hours after I took it. It's definitely worth the couple of dollars in savings you'd get from a generic brand, and a little goes a long way. I wouldn't give it to kids right before bedtime, because it did get me wired for a little while.
And, oh yeah, I tried the gel-caps, and they gave the same effect, minus the 20 minutes of drunken stupor.
