Pros: Nice textured body butter, keep skin very soft
Cons: Scent does not last
For about the last six to eight months I have occasionally used Victoria's Secret Endless Love Ultra Softening Body Butter.
Endless Love Ultra Softening Body Butter comes in a light blue, 7 ounce twist-off lid jar.
The key fragrances are apple blossom, honeydew and ylang ylang. When I smell the body butter in the jar the scent is a little on the strong side but once I smooth it onto my legs and arms the scent is not at all strong, but gentle and subtle. I notice a light melon scent and a bit of floral. I am not familiar with ylang ylang so I wouldn't be able to recognize the scent. The overall scent does not linger at all once I apply the body butter. In fact, I don't notice a scent at all after application. This is quite the opposite of what I experienced with Victoria's Secret Blossoming Romance Body Cream, which has an incredibly strong, lingering scent.
Endless Love Ultra Softening Body Butter uses aloe vera, vitamin E, shea oils and olive oils for conditioning, moisturizing and protecting the skin. This body butter is very light seafoam color and has a very creamy texture. It is not too thin like a lotion, but not too heavy or thick either. I was concerned that it would be too thick for my taste, but it has just the right consistency for me. I shower at night, and right after showering I scoop some body butter out of the jar and apply it to my arms and legs. It smoothes onto my skin easily and absorbs fast. I don't have to spend much time rubbing it into my skin - my skin just soaks it right up. Even though it is creamy and thick, it is not heavy or greasy feeling. My skin feels smooth and soft after applying it and it leaves my skin feeling soft right into the next day. Now that the cold weather is here and I am taking hot showers that depletes the skin of moisture this thick cream feels nice on my legs.
Endless Love Ultra Softening Body Butter leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and I would definitely recommend it for the softening and moisturizing qualities. However if you are planning to purchase this body butter for the scent, you may want to reconsider. The scent does not last at all once the body butter is applied. I use Endless Love Body Mist after applying the body butter to enhance the scent, but that doesn't help - that scent dissipates quickly as well.
Based on the fact that the scent does not hold up, I have to give Victoria's Secret Endless Love Ultra Softening Body Butter only three stars.
