In a new wave of fruit scented squeeze tube lip glosses (yet another new wave on fruit scented squeeze tube lip glosses), Victoria’s Secret has jumped on the bandwagon with their new Sweet Talk Mouth Watering Lip Glosses. .48 oz retails for $7 (though there always seems to be a sale of two for $10). The squeeze tube is slightly triangular, made out of a heavier feeling plastic than some.

I own Posh Peach. I have a friend who owns Passion Pear. I smelled all of them when I was at Victoria’s Secret Beauty.

The scents are nice. True to what they say, yet to call them flavors is a misnomer. Not to mention the fact that they are “mouth watering,” since they do not really have any type of identifiable taste. There may be a bit of sweetness, but it is certainly not anything identifiable and it is certainly not anything mouth watering. I did enjoy the scents, though. They were pleasantly fruity without being overbearing.

The color that you get from these glosses is minimal. I found that mine was clear (which is a good thing, since in the tube it is orange and orange is not for me). You do get a lot of shine from these glosses, which is always nice. It will layer on top of lipsticks, if that is what you are interested in.

Applicator is nothing special for a squeeze tube. The applicator is slanted with a little hole. It is fairly easy to control, as much as any squeeze tube lipgloss goes. If you don’t like them in general, then this lipgloss isn’t going to change yet.

Texture wise, this gloss is sticky and heavy (and I don’t mind sticky heavy glosses, since I think they last longer. But this is really on the sticky and heavy side. Some people will absolutely hate it. I don’t mind it all that much. If you don’t like the feeling of stickiness at all, don’t buy this one.

This gloss has an average lasting time. An hour to an hour and a half on a good day (take into consideration that I apply gloss like a nut and find that average. When it isn’t shiny anymore, I reapply. It’s a must for me). Granted, that isn’t very long when you take into consideration how heavy and sticky that it, so it isn’t anything exceptional.

If you like super shiny lip gloss that smells like fruit, this is quite possibly the perfect gloss for you. That is, if you can deal with the stickiness. There are better glosses out there, in my opinion. Yet the price is reasonable and the scents are quite pleasant. Victoria’s Secret Sweet Talk Mouth-Watering Lip Gloss didn’t make my mouth water, but I would recommend it for those looking for shine and fruity scents at a reasonable price.
