I have had good luck with Viewsonic products in the past and didn't hesitate to buy this model a GoodGuys. I purchased too quickly however, because I did not try it with a standard analog cable TV or broadcast signal. Unfortunately, the image quality is poor except when used with an HDTV signal, a good DVD player, or a computer. Compared to other similar-sized LCDs at the store, this on is significantly more grainy and has more ghosting.
I used the monitor with my notebook using the DVI connector and I was impressed with the image quality. It would be fine for displaying powerpoint slides to a group.
