Pros: very light, small size
Cons: 4-way d-pad, milky screen, crashes often
The Bottom Line: This is a borderline pocket pc: bad for frequently used advanced functions, but excellent for basic pda functions.

| nojman's Full Review: ViewSonic V35 Pocket PC |
I was surfing on the internet when I stumbled on the viewsonic v35 pocket pc. I read the specs and user reviews on the product and they were all very good so I decided to buy one. I was very excited that I finally had a pocket pc (I previously had an HP Jornada 525) after so many months.
This pocket pc was very impressive to me then: it had a 300mhz processor, 37.65mb ram available, and it had the pocket pc 2002 os. It was able to play NES games to near-perfection, it played videos at about 12 fps which was impressive compared to the jornada 525 which was at 5 fps maximum. I was very impressed at the differences between pocket pc 2002 and pocket pc 2000.
Unfortunately, after a few days of use, I realized that, for some unknown reason, the processor stalls very frequently when it is doing something strenuous such as playing PocketNES, etc. This was very disappointing to me: I'm having the time of my life playing Contra when, all of a sudden, the screen freezes.
I had this pocket pc for about 2 months when I sold it on ebay and got my brother's hp ipaq 1910 pocket pc. The 1910 was better in almost every possible way except for the even slower 200mhz processor.
Now, I have the HP Ipaq 2215 which literally makes almost every other pda out there cry; the only exceptions are 5400 and 5500 series.
