If you take pride in your lawn like I do, you will search high and low in the never ending search to have the best lawn on your block. Vigoro Ultra Turf Weed and Feed is where it's at.
This 28(nitrogen)-3(potash)- 3(phosphate)when applied correctly will destroy Dandelion, Chickweed, Clover and another 197 other weeds. You will probably have to use it 2 or 3 repeatedly times on strong Chickweed lawns, seems to kill them slower but does get the job done easily.
With broadcast spreaders I put the gauge at number 5, the company recommends number 3 it doesn't really put enough on your lawn. This pellet weed and feed needs to be spread out more on your lawn to do the proper job, thats why I recommend putting your spreader on number 5. But don't take my advice do the test yourself. First put your spreader on number 3 and see how much it covers your lawn. If it performs well, leave it at that if not raise it to number 5.
Apply this Vigoro at least 48 to 72 hours before a rain so the weed killer in the fertilizer will kill the top of the weed. When it rains the weed killer will travel down in the soil to kill the root system of such weed.
Active Ingriedents: 2,4D 0.64%, Mecoprop-P 0.16%, Dicamba 0.03%.
I will recommend you use this product in the Spring and early Fall to keep your yard looking beautiful and weed free. Wear gloves and breathing mask to prevent fertilizer dusk from going in your lungs, not only with this product but any fertilizer you use.
