My son loves vehicles. If it has wheels and goes, he is attracted to it. His grandfather recently got him a few of the Viking Chubbies trucks. My son has been playing with them a lot lately!
Description
The tractor that my son has is about six inches long and about 3.5 inches tall at it's tallest point. The tractor is red and it has blue and white wheels. The tractor has an attached scoop on the front of it and that is green. The scoop pivots from a midpoint on the tractor and can actually scoop and lift other small toys up. My son has these small counting bears (about an inch tall) and he loves to scoop these up in his tractor scoop! He then pulls the scoop up and flings the bears behind the tractor.
Our Experiences
My son plays with this and his other trucks a lot. This truck is small enough to carry from place to place but big enough that it is easy for a 2 year old to grasp and drive across the room. He does this a lot. Then, he lines this tractor up with his other trucks and starts all over again.
We sometimes take this truck, and it's similar sized counterparts, when we know we are going to be waiting in a doctor's office or to grandma's house. This tractor is not so small as to get lost. Also, it's bright colors help it to be easily seen and remembered.
This truck does not lend itself to putting people inside. There actually is no inside to put anything into as it is just solid plastic. (Well, actually, I think it is hollow inside but there is no openings to get to the inside) I really like it because it needs NO BATTERES, just your child's imagination!!
This truck has held up very well. My son has now had it for several months and it looks as if it were brand new. It is easily cleaned with a wet wipe when necessary but otherwise needs no other maintenance. The scoop must be well attached because it IS still attached despite the fact that my son has been a bit rough on it at times. I like a toy that can stand up to a toddler!!
Recommendations
I would recommend this toy to anyone who likes vehicles. It is especially perfect for toddlers but I think preschoolers would enjoy them too. It is a toy that allows a child to use his imagination and it has been a lot of fun for my son!
