| dandino's Full Review: Vise Grip 10 in. Pliers, Straight Locking 10R |
There isn't a whole lot to say about this piece. There is a screw at the bottom of one of the handles. This determines the size of the opening between the jaws. Take the pliers, adjust the screw to the proper size while over what you need to grip. Remove the pliers, turn the screw an extra quarter turn. Put it back on whatever you are gripping and squeeze. They will lock in place and won't let go unless you want it too. To release, squeeze the lever inside the handle and it will pop off. It's great for everything I can think of, plumbing, electrical, metalworking, STRIPPED BOLTS.
A great thing about it is that you can use it as a small clamp. Since it is able to lock in place, it dosn't require your grip on it's handles to maintain it's grip on whatever it has in it's teeth.
Very nice tool, now they come in different sizes and shapes for varying uses.
I can't think of a single thing that is wrong with them. It's heavy???
